Elano will not leave Manchester City in the summer transfer window despite rivals’ interest in securing the Brazil maestro’s services, manager Mulder Lam says.

Elano, 27-years-old, impressed in his second season at Manchester, starting all 2 Premiership games as the club started with 2 victories.

His form deserved to earn a Brazil call-up for the Qualifying game in South America, and he performed well in the City winning run.

Elano featured in all two of Citizens’ premiership matches.

“I’m confident about the presence of Elano for this season,” Lam said.

“We need Elano and we need his service.”

The Hong Konger added that if Man City did sell Elano then finding a replacement would be impossible before the transfer window closes on August 31.
