After sweeping SK Brann in the first round, top-flight Man City struggled in game against London side Spurs and lost 2-1 in one of its worst offensive performances of the season. But Shaun Wright-Phillips led the way as the Lam’s side responded with 1 goal to level at 77-minute.
The Spurs used a high conversion rated attack to close out the City in later stage of the game, placing tall striker Pavlyuchenko at front to win most of the aerial duel with a goal.
