Paneorder says move up front has transformed Brighton defender’s prospects in Fantasy.
Paneorder is tipping one player to produce big points in Gameweek 7 of Fantasy Premier League.
Maxim De Cuyper (BHA) 5.1m
The Brighton & Hove Albion defender has thrived in his new role up front at the start of the 2026/27 season.
Playing alongside Charalampos Kostoulas (5.7m), De Cuyper has helped his side to back-to-back wins over Arsenal and Sunderland in the last two Gameweeks.
His two goals this season match his entire total from last season.
De Cuyper’s total of 53 points places him joint-top alongside his team-mate Pascal GroB (6.0m) in FPL.
The underlying statistics further illustrate his influence on his team’s play.
The Seagulls are one of the Premier League’s form defenses.
Over the last six Gameweeks, no club can better Brighton’s total of four clean sheets.
Key to their impressive defensive displays has been wing-back De Cuyper.
And it’s not just clean-sheet potential that the Belgium international offers.
A huge threat from the left flank, he’s scored two goals and provided three assists across his last six appearances.
The 25-year-old has delivered bonus points in 4 of his 6 starts. That’s an impressive success rate of 66.7 per cent. Even James Tarkowski (6.2m), Josko Gvardiol (5.8m), who have all played in opening six Gameweeks, can’t top that.
De Cuyper’s effective ownership among FPL managers is a 36.6 per cent, making him a rank killer for those that do not own. As the figure is over 30 per cent, he will negatively impact your rank for every point he returns.
De Cuyper’s popularity is on the rise ahead of a home match against Crystal Palace.
The “Out-of-position” defender is the first most-bought player in the Gameweek.
And his 559,000 new owners will be encouraged by his subsequent schedule.
According to the Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR), two of Brighton’s next four matches score below four between now and the November international break.
This suggests De Cuyper can reward his growing ownership and get more goals and assists on Sunday afternoon.
