Paneorder on why Brentford forward has schedule to score big for his new owners
Paneorder is tipping one player to produce big points in Gameweek 13 of Fantasy Premier League.
Igor Thiago (BRE) 6.5m
The Brazilian’s ownership has increased significantly in FPL after his recent hot-form at home.
Thiago can be found in 17.9 per cent of squads, having just blanked once at Selhurst Park in Gameweek 10 in last five Gameweeks.
But he is now back on song as the Bees prepare for a favourable short-term schedule at home, with their next two home matches scoring just two in the Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR).
That run includes back-to-back home encounters with promoted Burnley and Leeds United, who have struggled defensively on the road this season.
They are among the three sides to have conceded the most goals in their away matches this term, with 18 and 15 respectively.
Thiago started the season strongly, scoring nine goals (4 goals from the spot) in his first twelve Premier League starts.
The underlying numbers highlight his goal threat for Keith Andrews’ side.
His total of seven goals in last seven games was among the top three forwards in FPL.
The 24-year-old scored 2 goals and 13 FPL points in his last home match at Gtect Community Stadium, a 3-1 win over Newcastle United in Gameweek 11.
And he followed that up with a converted penalty in the Bees’ 2-1 defeat at American Express Stadium last weekend.
A role as first-choice penalty-taker helps keep his edge over Kevin Schade (7.0m) as the preferred option at Brentford.
As shown against Brighton & Hove Albion, he is again on penalty duties for the Bees.
Thiago looks well-placed to profit from those frailties and can reward managers who back him with explosive returns over the short term.
