FPL GW4 Free Transfer Glitz: Cristian Romero

Paneorder says Spurs’ centre-back has schedule to offer many routes to returns in Fantasy

Paneorder is tipping one player to produce big points in Gameweek 4 of 2023/24 Fantasy Premier League.

Cristian Romero (TOT) 4.6m

A very favourable run of opponents hand Spurs the opportunity to continue their impressive start to the new season.

Postecoglou’s side are among four sides, along with West Ham United, Liverpool and Arsenal, to win each of their two matches and draw one in the opening Gameweeks. They are all in second place of the table and just two points behind Manchester City.

And according to the Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR), five of their next seven matches score only two.

Romero was among the standout defensive all-rounder for attacking threat and point returns from his duties in team-defence.

The north London’s side sometimes set a low block defence. And he was a key outlet for the match at Burnley, creating chances from the set-pieces.

He also blocked his opponent’s wingers to run the channel and made some tackles cleanly and accurately.

His one goal was joint-top with Royal (4.5m), Kulusevki (7.0m), Maddison (7.7m) and Sarr (4.5m) among his team-mates.

Furthermore, Romero has already collected two clean-sheet points, averaging 6.7 points per match (ppm) over his three outings.

The Argentinian also claimed 1 bonus point, underlining his all-round potential in Fantasy.

He got the edge over his team-mates to be in this Spurs’ starting XI.

He is such a class squad player. And his team-mates, both Sarr (4.5m) and Bissouma (5.0m) shield him well in front of him in midfield. Their protection will help him to avoid getting an unnecessary yellow card booking.

Romero has emerged as one of the most-popular Spurs’ defenders, found in 8.4m per cent of squads.

The 25-year-old has been brought in by 350,000+ managers after Tottenham Hotspur’s win in Bournemouth, ranking third among all defenders.

+Classy experienced centre-back, appearance centuries in the making and Shaky opponent’s attackers

Encouraging for Tottenham Hotspur’s defenders, both their upcoming opponents in next two Gameweeks have poor attacking records.

Burnley have found the net only one time in one of their last two, while Sheffield United have only scored only once away from home this season.

That suggests Romero can contribute in both ends to reward investors, with a big haul against the Clarets on the cards.
