Paneorder highlights players for Fantasy Premier League managers to target with their unlimited transfers before the Gameweek 1 deadline.
Chris Wood (BUR) 6.5m
The Burnley striker’s potential in FPL has been transformed since his return from injuries in June.
Wood is Sean Dyche’s main centre forward option. He could be nailed starter again in the coming 2020/21 Premier League season.
He has scored three goals in the last three matches in previous season, averaging 4.2 points per match (ppm).
Those numbers show some consistency when compared with Wood’s last three season displays.
The 28-year-old may struggle to secure a regular role in the Burnley line-up, facing keen competition from Jay Rodriguez, Ashley Barnes and Matej Vydra.
But his closest rival, who is Jay Rodriguez, only scored eight goals.
Leading the line
The underlying statistics show why Wood has been such a big success for Dyche.
His fourteen goals in 32 appearances, with one assist were all team-leading totals (goal involvements) last season.
Burnley have a tricky testing first three Gameweeks plus a blank when FPL returns on 12 September, 2020, facing Leicester City, Southampton and Newcastle United in that spell.
But Wood has proven a reliable source of goals when facing opponents such as Leicester City (He scored in both home and away matches in 2019/20 season.)
That suggests he can extend his impressive output under Dyche and get more goals for his 3.8 per cent ownership in FPL.
