Crystal Palace striker has impressive record against Seagulls
A visit from Brighton & Hove Albion looks encouraging for the prospect of Jean-Philippe Mateta (7.9m) in Gameweek 11 of Fantasy Premier League.
The Eagles’ striker sits joint-second among forwards in FPL, scoring six goals in his first 10 matches.
Also, Mateta has not been benched in a single Premier League match this campaign.
Mateta has played second-most-minutes (869 minutes) in PL this term, just behind the 900 minutes of Jarrod Bowen (7.7m).
And his record against his visitors suggests he will get more goals this weekend.
Mateta has scored 3 goals in his 8 Premier League meetings with Brighton.
Owned by 25.0 per cent, he is a key captain contender for Gameweek 11 and is named by Paneorder ahead of Saturday’s deadline.
Favourable schedule
On the subject of favourable schedules, Crystal Palace embark on a five-match run in which none of their fixtures score higher than three in the Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR).
Featuring prominently on the Paneorder radar is Mateta, Palace’s top-scoring attacker in FPL this season, with 48 points.
The French striker is also the Eagles’ leading man for average score per match (form), with 9.3.
Tallies of 6 bonus points are joint-top with Ismaila Sarr (6.6m).
Mateta has also posed big threat from open-play and set-piece, racking up more expected goal involvements (xGI), 8.59, than any other team-mate this season.
And the Seagulls are in poor defensive form ahead of their visit on Sunday.
They have claimed just a single clean sheet in the last 10 Gameweeks. That includes a 4-2 defeat at Manchester United in their last away match.
With his potential for goals and assists, Mateta can profit from those frailties and bring in another big haul at home this weekend.
