Man City are assessing the fitness to Shaun Wright-Phillips and Nigel de Jong but Blue Moon boss Mulder Lam admits their chances of being available against Sampdoria “do look good”.
Both players played in the first leg against Italian side even though their fitnesses are concern.
One player is definitely out who is Diego Costa. Man City’s main striker out because of a pulled hamstring.
“I’ll find out more before the clash against Sampdoria, we’re waiting 24 hours just to settle things down, but it doesn’t look great with Costa and Kompany,” said the Man City boss at his pre-match press conference on 25 February, 2009.
“it’s not the perfect scenario but a better scenario than we’ve had for a while now so we’re adapting to it.”
Their next match is the second leg of first knockout round in Euro Cup.
