The striker was stretchered off at the City of Manchester stadium due to a bruised shin sustained as he challenged Brann’s player for a ball.

Lam will also be without Brazilian wizard Robinho due to his below par fitness level as his side face a hugh challenge of trying to improve their standing in premier league this season.

In Lam’s first season in charge under i-one game world, the Citizens is always a shadow of glory in Liverpool’s day. Now they grab their chance to beat this old rival hopefully.

However, the Hong Kong coach is aware of the extra difficulty of not just scoring against the British big club, but also not conceding a goal to the likes of Fernando Torres for that would leave Man City needing to outscore their opponent and win the game within a small margin. Eidur Gudjohnsen is set to make his league debut for Man City in this game.

himself and head in his first goal for City to level. Elano came off the bench in 90-minute but his drive
only hit the side net.
