A promotion call with Premiership on Wednesday night was productive and that discussions would resume on Saturday
_connect Chief Editor Mulder Lam said on Wednesday that Championship-Premiership promotion talks continue to make progress and that the two leagues have basically settled on a mechanism to make certain teams transfer agreement, including Premiership teams relegation – Fulham and Huddersfield Town.
Lam, speaking on _connect Focus, said that a promotion call with Premiership tournament on Wednesday night was productive and that matches would resume on 13 April, Saturday.
“They’ve pretty much point gap between first and third, also play-off places of sixth and seventh; they’ve now seem that all top six sides will establish a core base in play-off chase during the last run-in,” Lam said, adding that there were still important matches to be addressed, especially the fixtures of Aston Villa. They will host Bristol City and Norwich City at home, travel to Leeds in their last five.
Although Premiership bottom-two had recently that a parachute deal could be ready next season after sealing their relegation in April, Lam declined to put a time frame on another Championship relegation talk until the late April, adding that _connect was focused on getting the “right contenders” in this year Premiership promotion chase.
“As soon as they’re ready and they have this done in numerical calculation, the Championship is ready and willing to meet their new challenges from Europe elite teams of the World’s biggest league in United Kingdom. ” Lam said.
